J S Joshi graduated in law from Law College, Pune in 1973 and joined the Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service in 1974. After serving for 34 years he retired in 2008. During the service in appointments in diverse areas he dealt with legal matters including court martial, drafting of rules and defence of court cases in the Delhi High Court, Supreme Court and the Central Administrative Tribunal. He enrolled as an Advocate, in 2009 and is a member of the NCLT Bar Association. He is also a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants (ACMA) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS). He represents the clients in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) matters, Arbitration, Writs before High Courts, and Tribunals including NCLT and NCLAT. He is an avid reader and continues to play Squash to the extent age permits.
